Ramires has signed a new five-year contract at Chelsea. The Brazilian, who turns 25 later this month, joined the club from Benfica in 2010 and has gone on to feature regularly for the blues.
He has been one of the most consistent performers at Stamford Bridge this season, contributing four goals from 21 league appearances, although he did play all 90 minutes of the 1-0 loss to West Brom at the weekend, which heralded the end of Villas-Boas.
Ramires told the club's official website: "I am very happy with my new contract. I am very happy with the support I have playing for this club so I want to say thank you to Chelsea."
